Complementary. Merchants/ACP is not a PIM; it needs a clean, complete, updated product feed. Sales Layer (PIM) centralizes, normalizes, enriches data and exposes consistent outputs to multiple destinations (web, marketplaces, print, and now ChatGPT).
Phase 1 (Product Feed) doesn't require payment integration. You can enable discovery in ChatGPT without checkout. Phase 2 (Instant Checkout) requires a compatible PSP (Stripe recommended, or implement Delegated Payment spec).
